My Testimony
I was a teen finishing the eighth grade when I had an earache that would not go away. After a few scans, I was diagnosed with cancer.
As my health started to decrease, my oncologist told me I had about a year to live. However, my Father said otherwise.
Here I am 10+ years later with a bachelor’s in psychology and an associate’s in Deaf Studies/American Sign Language.
Although I have developed disabilities from the treatments, I have learned that life is not defined by what is taken from us, but by the light we choose to see in the midst of it.
