As it says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17. What does that mean? I don’t think it means constantly throwing “hail marys” up in the air, hoping that He will answer them.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12
Prayer seems to be the last thing we do when life is heavy, when the answers are slow, when the pain lingers longer than we expected.
Prayer is less about perfect words or how long it is. Prayer is more about our presence, even if it’s sitting in silence because we don’t know what to say.
Prayer is the connection in our communication with Him. We are to pray and live with an awareness that He is near, listening, present, and involved in every part of our lives.
Prayer does not always change the situation, but it does change our perspective on the situation.
