Easter is typically a holiday with bunnies and eggs and candy.
For some of us, we celebrate the moment when Jesus resurrected from his death on the cross with a crown of thorns and nails through His hands and feet (John 20)
He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Matthew 28:6 KJV
His resurrection is God’s declaration that darkness does not get the final word.
Jesus is the light that rose so we could have a living hope. A hope that meets us in the places we feel buried and reminds us that, “This is not the end.”
He is risen—and because He lives, hope lives too.
