Search Me, O God

It was years ago when I volunteered at my church for Vacation Bible School (VBS) as a dancer. The theme song was called Submerged. I still remember the song and most of the moves, especially when Psalm 139:23–24 pops up randomly in my mind:

Search me, O God, and know my heart;

Try me, and know my anxieties;

And see if there is any wicked way in me,

And lead me in the way everlasting.

We often hide our struggles behind smiles or silence, yet these verses remind us that God already sees the depths of our hearts.

He knows the burdens we carry, the thoughts that keep us awake at night, and the questions we’re afraid to ask.

Let Him search us, and to take what He reveals and redirect us toward peace, purpose, and eternal life.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2

Living it out means talking to Him every chance we get, seeking knowledge by reading His Word, and finding a community of like minded people to help reshape our perspective.

Let us follow His lead into the “way everlasting”—a life marked by hope, resilience, and faith.
